Lady Bird Johnson died today, July 11, 2007. Probably most people didn’t know she was alive, if they even thought about it, which they probably didn’t. She was a proud lady who loved her home state, and stood by her philandering, probably criminal husband. She was a founder of the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center in Austin, Tx. I was driving in Austin today with my daughter and grandson, and noticed flags flying at half mast. Wondered why? Now we know.
